A connector allows you to adapt the flow path between the tank and its equipment. Couplings, elbows, tees and threaded fittings should be selected according to the layout of the system and the dimensions of the components to be connected.
Which connector should you use in a tank system?
A coupling connects two compatible sections along the same axis. An elbow changes the direction of the system. A tee creates a branch, for example to arrange a connection between several points. The range includes 25 mm components, 3/4-inch male and female fittings, and connecting pipes.
Preparing the dimensions for installation
Measure the distance between the tanks and identify any changes in direction. Note the diameters and threads already in place. The male or female designation indicates the type of connection and must match the corresponding component. Also check the thread type and the fastening method specified by the manufacturer.
Individual connector or complete kit?
Individual components can be used to adapt or repair part of the system. A connection kit may be suitable for a specific configuration, such as two tanks connected together. Compare its contents with your system layout to avoid buying duplicate fittings or overlooking a required connection.
During installation, support the pipes to reduce strain on the tank outlets.
