Which 60-litre drum should you choose?
Start by determining the type of contents, how frequently the drum will be opened and the storage conditions. The range includes a new model stated as food-grade with UN marking. These characteristics apply specifically to the product bearing them and should not automatically be assumed to apply to other drums in the category.
A screw lid is closed by turning it. A lever-lock ring secures the lid using a clamping mechanism. Check that the seal is present and follow the instructions for using the closure. A lid must be compatible with the body of the drum, even when both parts have the same stated capacity.
New, reconditioned or second-grade
A reusable drum has already been used. Its condition and preparation must be suitable for its new intended use. If a product is described as second-grade, check its specific characteristics before purchasing. For sensitive contents, ask about the available history and whether the product is suitable for the intended type of contact.
How should handling be planned?
Capacity indicates volume, not the weight to be moved. A filled 60-litre drum may require suitable handling equipment. Check its external dimensions, available access and the load capacity of your equipment. Keep the closures accessible for inspection.
When preparing an order for several drums, specify the number of batches required and the volume of each batch.
