Galvanized buckle
A strapping buckle is a metal fastener that holds a strap in place after it has been tensioned around a parcel or pallet. Explore our galvanized buckles in 13, 16, 19 and 32 mm and phosphate-coated buckles in 19 and 25 mm. To choose a suitable buckle, check the strap’s width and material alongside the specifications of your strapping system.
Explore our metal buckles for strapping in a range of widths and wire diameters. The selection includes galvanized and phosphate-coated buckles for strapping parcels or pallets.
How do you choose a buckle for your strap?
Start by checking the width and material of your strap, then review the buckle’s specifications. The range includes galvanized buckles in 13, 16, 19 and 32 mm, as well as phosphate-coated buckles in 19 and 25 mm. Two buckles of the same width may have different wire diameters and finishes, so compare their product specifications before ordering.
Galvanized or phosphate-coated buckle?
Galvanized and phosphate-coated refer to different finishes. Choose the buckle specified for your strap and fastening method. A 19 mm phosphate-coated buckle should not be treated as interchangeable with a 19 mm galvanized buckle based on width alone.
What should you check for textile or composite strapping?
If you use textile or composite strapping, check that the buckle is compatible with its width and material, as well as with your tensioning tool. Thread the strap through the buckle as directed, then test the combination on a representative load before using it for routine packing.
Is the correct buckle width enough?
No. The hold also depends on the strap, the tensioning tool and how the straps are positioned around the load. Consider the strength of the packaging and protect sharp corners where needed. To repeat a tested setup, keep a record of the components used and check how many buckles are included in each pack before reordering.
