Choose the volume according to the length of the pieces, the quantity to be packed and your filling method. This type of packaging is suitable for preparing bundles of wood, but does not replace the necessary storage conditions.

What volume should you choose for kindling?

Smaller sizes make it easier to prepare compact bundles. Larger volumes allow more pieces to be grouped together, provided that the specifications of the bag are respected. Compare the capacity in litres with the flat dimensions. The actual space occupied varies depending on the shape of the logs and how they are arranged in the net bag.

This range includes dimensions of 39 x 52 cm for 20 litres and 62 x 98 cm for 50 litres. Leave enough room to close the bag. The volume does not represent a maximum load in kilograms: check the specified strength before determining the weight of your bundles.

Can a net bag be used to dry wood?

The mesh allows air to circulate, but drying also depends on the initial condition of the wood and the storage location. Ensure good ventilation and protect the bundles from rain. A net bag is not watertight and does not, on its own, guarantee that the wood is ready to burn.

Preparing consistent bundles

Sort the pieces by length and remove any with edges that could catch on the mesh. Fill the bags without forcing the contents in order to limit localised stress. Label the bundles to distinguish between wood species or preparation dates.
