A drinking trough connected to an IBC tank provides a water supply point for animals. Choose the model according to its operating principle, the available pressure and the fittings on your tank. The range includes drinking troughs for tanks, hoses and adapters.

Which drinking trough should you connect to a tank?

The range includes a low-pressure trigger kit and a static water kit. These systems have different selection requirements. Check the supply conditions of the model and its suitability for the animals concerned. Equipment designed for a specific type of water supply should not be installed without checking the available pressure.

With a gravity-fed tank, the water level affects the supply. Position the tank and drinking trough according to the equipment instructions, on stable supports suitable for the load. Animals must be able to access the drinking point without placing strain on the fittings or moving the tank.

Preparing the connections

Check the thread on the IBC valve and the thread on the drinking trough. The available accessories include adapters and a 50 cm hose. Check the dimensions, usable length and components supplied with the selected kit. Keep the connections accessible for inspection and maintenance.

How do you maintain a tank-fed drinking trough?

Regularly check the cleanliness of the water, the level in the tank and the operation of the water supply. Clean the drinking point to remove deposits. The tank must be suitable for water intended for animals, and its history must be known if it is reused.

Take appropriate measures to protect the system from freezing temperatures and exposure to sunlight.
