A straight tank outlet is used to connect a hose in line with the valve. A drain spout directs the flow into a container. Choose the accessory according to the fitting on your IBC tank, the hose diameter and the space required to use the outlet.
Which hose tail fitting should you choose?
The range includes straight hose tail fittings in several sizes, including 16, 25, 38 and 50 mm, as well as a 25/32 mm outlet. A hose tail end must match the intended hose. Check the internal diameter of the hose and the specifications on the product page before selecting the fitting. The securing system must also be suitable for the installation.
Check both ends of the accessory: on the tank side, the fitting must be compatible with the existing valve or adapter. On the distribution side, it must accommodate the hose or direct the liquid as required. Having the correct size at only one end is not sufficient.
How can you make draining a tank easier?
Leave sufficient clearance in front of the outlet and avoid kinking the hoses. The slope of the pipe, its length and the available water head all affect the flow. A larger outlet does not guarantee a higher flow rate if another part of the system restricts the flow.
Does a straight outlet close off the tank?
A simple fitting does not replace a valve or tap. Keep a suitable shut-off device to control distribution. Before installation, shut off and secure the liquid supply, then check the sealing surfaces. Carry out a gradual test after assembly.
