Thin solid cap for tank
Specifications:
Retain the model-specific features
During the check, consider any ventilation, seal membrane, retaining method or other explicitly stated specification together. Any special functions stated on the product sheet form part of the reference specification. These details must not be carried over by analogy from another cap or lid.
Monitor the condition of the part
Consider the condition of the thread, seating surface and sealing components together when checking the reference. Reused closures must be inspected periodically. A deformed part or damaged seal must be replaced with a reference whose equivalent specifications are documented.
Ordering details
To identify ref. DIV-029-3 unambiguously, retain the following published details: Solid tank cap; 2" BSP thread. This combination of data is more reliable than a comparison based only on appearance.
Model-specific distinguishing data
The check can start with 2" BSP thread; Solid tank cap. For the slim solid tank cap, these details must remain unchanged in internal documentation to make future comparisons easier.
Choose the correct closure size
A cap or lid must match the relevant opening exactly. For this reference, check the useful diameter, connection type and seating-surface shape. A similar closure may appear suitable while having a different thread or seating surface.
