2" female cap with BSP thread
Ordering details
When preparing a replenishment order, note Includes a seal and membrane for the drain spout passage; BSP thread for a secure connection; Suitable for 2" valve outlets. These details identify the female 2" BSP threaded cap without treating a property observed only on another model as certain.
Check the sealing area
The check can start with the cleanliness of the seating surface, the seal where one is provided and the absence of visible deformation. Closure quality also depends on the condition of the contact surfaces. A misplaced seal or dirty seating surface can prevent correct closure even when the dimensions are right.
Engage without forcing
The check can start with the start of the thread or retaining system and the position of the seal. The closure must be offered up on-axis and then engaged evenly. Unusual resistance should prompt a check of the dimensions before proceeding.
Choose the correct closure size
For a replacement or new installation, record the useful diameter, connection type and seating-surface shape. A cap or lid must match the relevant opening exactly. A similar closure may appear suitable while having a different thread or seating surface.
Model-specific distinguishing data
The information specific to the female 2" BSP threaded cap must be read together: Suitable for 2" valve outlets; BSP thread for a secure connection; Includes a seal and membrane for the drain spout passage. Reference DIV-029-31 links these technical data to the stocked product and the intended use.
