Exclude damaged areas
Before tensioning, the strapping must be free from cuts or visible damage. For this reference, check the edges, twists and condition of the section that will surround the load. A damaged section must not be compensated for by applying greater tension.
Maintain reel traceability
During the check, consider the reference, material, width and core together. The reel designation must remain legible until use. This identification prevents two consumables with a similar appearance but different specifications from being mixed up.
Check the reel
During the check, consider the material, width, length, stated strength and core diameter together. Strapping must be identified by the specifications of its reel. Width alone is not enough to replace one reference with another.
